Off-Road Capability in the Ford F-150

The 10-speed automatic accompanies any of the six engines that you choose for the Ford F-150. You can also choose from five selectable drive modes with this transmission including Normal, Tow/Haul, Sport, EcoSelect, and Snow-Wet. Your engine selections include the 375-horsepower EcoBoost®, the Twin-independent Variable Cam Timing 3.3-liter V6 that produces 290 horsepower, and the 250-horsepower 3.0-liter Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel.

To optimize your time off-road, the Raptor trim comes with FOX Live Valve monotube shocks. They offer maximum control using internal bypass technology. With an electronic solenoid valve, these shocks delivery continuous variable compression damping that adapts instantly to changing off-road conditions.

Giving you toughness on the highway or off it is a body forged form military-grade, high-strength aluminum alloy that has been toughened by a heat-treating process. This allows for an increase in thickness as needed for strength without any weight increases.
